Happy March

Mar 1, 2021

Wow. I can't believe it's already March. Spring break for small nerd and I is in 2 weeks and we get a whole week off! What in the world will I do? Find a book to read? Make more items for my shop? Purge junk and organize my house? Spring clean? WHO KNOWS! But, what I do know is I will be doing a lot of decompressing from the copious amounts of stress I have been under. Enough is enough you know?

So here is what March has in store for me. I feel this month will be a fun one. One can only hope!

I have been doing this monthly photo challenge with Fat Mum Slim since she first started it a long time ago. Sometimes there are prompts that I can't seem to get creative and at times I can come up with something. This month should be quite easy since it's the alphabet.

Today's prompt was "A".. and since it's a month before Easter and it's pretty much spring here in Florida. I went ahead and put out what Easter decorations I had. I called this one my "aesthetic easter decor". Its pretty and simple and straight to the point.

My Ipsy glam bag plus is going to be an AMAZING one this month. I have seen all the spoilers and I can't wait for choice to open up tomorrow. I have my fingers crossed they have the Kosas Face Oil Foundation. And if I have the option, I pray they choose my right shade (3.5).

This month is about "stronger together" and it features companies created by women. Pretty awesome right! I think so.

Ipsy also does daily giveaways and I am always entering them. Today's entry was about a photo of who/what that makes you "stronger". I chose my husband and daughter. You can read the actual Instagram post here.

I decided to give the nail salon and acrylic nails a rest. I had been doing them since November. I do love getting my nails done but sometimes it becomes a chore to get to your apointment on time, find the design you want, sit there for an hour and sit in silence with your mask on. Plus I keep seeing all these pretty polishes and Ipsy will sometimes slip a polish in a monthly bag. I am hoping I get one this month.

I chose some OPI funny bunny and some regular silver glitter by China Glaze. My hands feel so good right now since cutting them shorter and getting all of that old product off. It's like my fingernails can breathe again.

This month also means I am going to try a few new things....

1. Like the Sweet Cold Foam for Cold Brew'. It's a remix of Charli's first drink. I just want them to ease up on all the sugar.

2. Re-stock my bubblegum bead inventory with more colors. I am running seriously low!

3. My in-laws are in town for the whole month so this means I will get a lot of alone time with my husband. We love our small nerd but we need date nights.

4. I plan on making bubblegum bead rearview mirror dangles to add to my shop. I found the perfect tutorial on how to do it.

5. I am working on adding a mega menu for this blog. I know how to do it. I have done it before but I am so rusty at it. I am trying to achieve this look. Just scroll over the top menu links and you will see what I mean. Ain't it lovely!!

I already paid for this theme and I don't feel like switching a theme that I have matched everything up with. Plus my current theme is so dang pretty. Not too pink... not too grey. Kinda a mix in between.

So there you have it! I have more I plan on doing this month but my daughter is literally doing tiktoks right beside me and is breaking my concentration. So I can't think right LOL!

Have a good evening! XO

  1. That blog menu is gorgeous! I would have no idea where to start with that. Enjoy all the extra time with your hubby this month. That's so great that you in-laws can visit.

  6. I find that often I can read a photo challenge prompt and think "oh that sounds so easy" but then really struggle to execute it and others that I think will be challenging end up being easy. But I do find the more I can think outside the box the easier they are. Enjoy your date nights! My husband and I were so blessed to have all our parents nearby and have so many babysitters on hand when our boys were young.

    1. Thank you! We had Sonny's BBQ last night and tried to watch Coming 2 America. We fell asleep. So that will tell you the movie was pretty... lame.

I can't seem to get back into it now. I have missed so many days/prompts that I am too far behind to continue HAHA!
