Morning Skincare Routine

Apr 25, 2021

Happy Sunday everyone. I have been wanting to post this for quite some time. This is probably one of my most important posts to date. Did I say that correctly? Anyways, before I start getting ready to go out on our boat I figured let me just throw this up real quick and call it a day. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen this post. I am going to go into further detail now. From start to finish.

1. La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser - formulated with Prebiotic Thermal Water, Ceramide-3, Niacinamide, and Glycerin. The milky face cleanser hydrates skin.

I have been seeing this facial cleanser everywhere. It's only $14.99 at Ulta. That's a great price! I got this pretty much gifted to me for doing a phone interview with a rep from Brandefy. After my interview and honest feedback, they compensated me with a Ulta gift card and I got this. I was super duper excited to use this face wash. I have seen a major difference since using it too. I was using Cetaphil as my second cleanse but I wasn't getting that "clean" feeling. Plus it was drying me out. And since using this, those tiny bumps on my temples have finally went away. It has my favorite ingredient in it. Niacinamide.

Also - quick note.... Brandefy has a beauty box! I quit Ipsy and I will explain that later once my April box gets here.....

2. Glossier The Super Pack - Three daily, vitamin-packed serums that deliver hydration, more even tone, and clarity.

From the Glossier website:

Super Pure - a Niacinamide + Zinc serum that calms the appearance of blemishes and sorts out texture issues
Super Bounce - a Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin b5 serum that boosts moisture and eases any tight, dry feeling skin may have
Super Glow - a Vitamin C + Magnesium serum that nourishes and energizes so skin looks fresh, recharged, and glowy

I would say these serums are my favorite part of my morning skincare routine. My only suggestion is give each serum a chance to soak into your skin. Layering them before giving it time to do it's magic defeats the purpose and causes makeup to pill. But I have seen MAJOR improvement since using these about 2 months ago. Even my husband has joined me on using them. I highly recommend.

3. Glossier Bubblewrap Eye + Lip Cream - A silky eye + lip cream that hydrates your face’s two most delicate areas.

I love love LOVE this stuff. It plumps my eyes and diminishes fine lines and it even plumps my lips without that stinging tingling feeling. This is a must have.

4. Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich - A rich, deeply moisturizing yet fast-absorbing face cream for day or night.

I use this strictly in the morning. Because it's a primer too, my makeup goes on smoothly. The smell is a very faint lavender. I keep mine in my mini fridge and a little bit goes a long way. It just feels so good gliding on my face and my face feels moisturized all day long. Wearing masks, I really need it.

5. Missha All Around Safe Block Aqua Sun SPF50+ PA++++ - This Sunscreen for daily use provides skin care by protecting the skin from UV rays and harmful environmental factors. All Around Safe Block Waterproof Sun Essence SPF 50 provides a high level of protection against harmful UVA/UVB rays. Helps prevent sunburn and reduce the risk of skin cancer and premature ageing.

So... about this product. It appears this one has been discontinued because it's been reformulated. I believe the new SPF is here. Once I am finished with this one then I will buy the new one. And I have a feeling I know why it's been reformulated. It causes pilling with my makeup. I love this SPF too because it doesn't burn my eyes and it really does protect my face from burning. Especially using all of those serums.

What's your skincare look like? Comment below! Anything you recommend? I am always down for trying new products!

And there you have it. My AM skincare routine. Stay tuned for my PM skincare routine soon. I gotta put my bathing suit on and make a run for the ocean! Have a wonderful Sunday!!

  1. I so agree that you need to let product set in before adding another one. I am so guilty of doing this when I am in a hurry. When I am not, my makeup looks so much better. I really want to try the Glossier products.

    1. You do! I swear you will love it. It's gentle on the face, fairly priced and their style of the products is so pretty and minimal!
